About Health for Life
“Love what you do and do what you love!”
My name is Lori Madgett and Health for Life is my passion. My title(s) are; Personal Care Product Maker, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Doula. I have always enjoyed helping others and each branch of my company enables me to connect with people. My goal is to help discover paths for a healthier life.
My past career gave me a great sense of accomplishment. I was able to work alongside young children in an incredible educational environment. Many years in Montessori teaching taught me how to learn, love and teach information. I still have many wonderful friendships with former students and their families.
In the beginning my business plan was truthfully “no plan”. I was making deodorant and body butter for myself and my family. My hope was to provide natural skincare that my teenagers would use. Daily the girls would hear me say “you should be willing/able to eat whatever you put on the outside of your body”. They do not always agree with me, they are teenagers, but they do use my products and enjoy them. I was proud to share my deodorant and body butter with friends and family as gifts. The response was amazing as Health for Life had its start when people asked to purchase my products. I received a lot of positive feedback and I am thrilled to be able to make them available to whomever is interested. My passion is to provide good quality natural personal care products that are gentle on your body and the environment by using quality ingredients and minimal packaging.
The quote I began this document with is a direct result of how I feel when I am working on product production and speaking with new/existing clients. Being in my kitchen coming up with new ideas, or tweaking already existing ones, is incredibly satisfying. My product line began with Pink deodorant and Lavender/peppermint body butter. In addition to the original items It has expanded to include many different scents/products (see my product line). I hope you enjoy these products as much as we enjoy making them for you.
